I’m excited to share a beautiful twin newborn photography session captured in our home studio located in Romsey, Macedon Ranges Shire, Victoria. Having grown up with twin brothers, capturing the unique bond of twins is always a special experience, and this session was truly a joy to photography.
In this newborn session, we captured a variety of setups including the twins together, individual portraits, family photos, and each twin with their parents. The color scheme of purple, yellow, and creams added a unique and personalised touch to the photos for this particular family.
Twins Together: Photographing twins together is always a special experience. One of my favourite twin poses is wrapping a single wrap around both the twins, as pictured in the cream set-up in the gallery following this blog. This pose allows the babies to cuddle together and comfort each other. It never ceases to amaze me how well the babies settle into a pose together when they are in close proximity; highlighting the unique bonds twins share from birth.
Individual Twin Portraits: Although it is wonderful seeing twins together, it is equally beautiful to create memories of each baby on their own. Even as twins, they each have their own unique personality which will continue to develop as they grow. To ensure a cohesive look across the gallery, we used the same color palette of yellows, creams and purples to photograph each baby individually in each of the set-ups.
Family Photos: Family photos are a key part of any newborn session, and this is no different in a twin newborn session. These family photos capture the joy and love of the family, creating lasting memories for everyone.
Twins with Each Parent: Capturing the twins with each parent individually is a wonderful way to highlight the unique bond between parent and child. For these photos, we used minimal props to keep the focus on the emotional connection. The soft creams and neutral tones in these portraits added a serene and peaceful touch to these intimate moments.
